In Great Britain 2 pints = 1 quart (1.136 liters); 4 quarts = 1 gallon (4.546 liters); 8 quarts = 1 peck (9.092 liters); 4 pecks = 1 bushel (36.37 liters); 8 bushels = 1 quarter (291.0 liters).
